Mature content or no mature content? I just want to share with all of you a strange thought. So often I browse the main homepage of DA, so often is the popular section and too often I found photos of nudity that in my opinion are not for art. I don't want to put the thumb just because I don't want to make my journal odd so I put only links.
Let me say something to open a dialog with all of you: everyone has his/her own approach with the sex, more or less, younger and older, women and men. This approach is personal but someone can make his/her own approach public. It's free. OK?
Deviantart has a slogan: "where art meets application", ok? Deviation is a original name they give to our art, a different peace of art of each of us... So am I so stupid that I can't find art in those photos? It's obvious that all of this kind of photo has got a deviation. But someone could tell me what kind of interest an artist could have in this kind of photo? Those looks like only on the pretext of take a photo of genitals. Where is art? The depilatory wax? The shape of the vagina? The length of the penis? I just can't understand. If you put an full figured of a nudity it will be a stock for some artists: take the correct pose, the position of the muscles... not the length or the shape... Really can't understand.
When I entered to DA the mature content were available and I don't need to use just because DA were a site of artists... now we can find a lot of something else that really don't mark DA as an original site. Let the people search for this kind of photos in the web and leave DA at its original purpose: "where art meets application". I really can't find art in this kind of photos. Not offensive, just offsite.
